The nodes are colored according to the colors of the spectrum: 0 hours/control (red), 0.5 hours (orange), 1 hour (yellow), 4 hours (green), 16 hours (blue), and 32 hours (violet). Manhattan distance with average linkage has been chosen. The top dendrogram is the default one produced by agnes. By swapping the branches at the internal nodes indicated in red in this dendrogram, the one below is produced.
